IKEA Built-Ins

This project was my first “IKEA hack” where the client wanted to build up standard IKEA bookshelves to make them look built-in!

Super fun, right?!? Welllllll… Her house was built in the 1950’s and had A LOT of foundation issues, so there wasn’t a square, plumb, level, or flat surface ANYWHERE for me to anchor off of.

It ended up being an incredibly complex project, but the final product looked awesome! The client wanted to save some money and paint them herself, so these final photos still look a little unfinished because they are!
